The Anechoic Effect: Do Not Adjust Your Headset (Yet)!

It’s been an odd few days on Avesta. As things change and Seed Industries roll out things such as the Space Port (is it really called that?) and access to a Global Market, as well as some other things such as the process of leaving Dezima with your new podster Seedling, one deafening feature was the turning up the dial on the aural effect of being indoors!
Over loud, disturbing cacophonies, the UNN got many reports from across societies that Seedlings were freaking out and running away from any machine that let so much as a squeak out of them. So that meant there was no eating or enjoying meals in a room with a fridge. That hum? It was like the sound of one of Garrett’s Nukes going off.
This seems to suggest that Covitalism is still alive and well, and that Seedlings may well be connected to a Seed Industries controllable implant of some device. Or maybe it’s just us, and we can’t hear what is actually being played down there on the surface of the planet.
Because suddenly sometime around noon on Day 13 of the year 4037, the rooms of Avesta went silent! A full blown anechoic effect went into place. Every interior was eerily silent, save for some music (you can’t stop the music of Avesta, that much we know). Free of echo, free of noise disturbance, we have to ask: who is controlling our headsets?
