In an unexpected turn of events, due to Genesis's anarchic governance system, Cultivator Poppy has taken control of its main plot of land. This has effectively locked the society out of its own territory.
The takeover occurred after Poppy, known for past mischief in earlier deployments, claimed the land while attempting to build a shop. “So I own it now?” Poppy asked, during an exchange, feigning confusion as other members scrambled to explain the situation.
With Genesis still operating under anarchy, any cultivator could technically seize assets. However, transferring the land into Poppy’s name has left other members unable to build or access their own properties. “Basically, we just can’t play,” Ixperienced explained.
Poppy, meanwhile, mused about leadership aspirations: “How can I be queen of Genesis?” The comment landed somewhere between jest and declaration, leaving members to wonder whether it was just another of Poppy’s trademark trolls or a veiled admission that she intended to hold onto power for as long as possible. Was this playful chaos, or the opening salvo of a would-be monarch staking her claim?
This isn’t Poppy’s first brush with notoriety. Previously branded a “Crim” (criminal) for market disruption and overemployment, Poppy has built a reputation for playful chaos. Some members suspect the move is no more than deliberate trolling.
As of now, Poppy retains ownership of Genesis’s primary land plot. Frustrated by the stalemate, several players have already decamped to form a new society, Phoenix, in search of a fresh start.
For now, the situation stands as a cautionary tale about the risks of leaving governance in anarchy and the perils of letting Poppy anywhere near the deed. We will continue to report on this matter as things unfold.
