Demon Portal Spotted - Nobody Enters or Exits

In a somewhat alarming submission to our ever open reporting centre, a reader has submitted an inexplicable sight in the society of Klangers: a glowing door to nowhere. This brings to mind a monolith, the structure that some consider to be the harbinger of massive leaps in human evolutionary intelligence.

We've reached out to Seed Industries for assurances that this wasn't a danger to either the inhabitants of the society in which it was discovered, or indeed the rest of us across the Eilo Archipelago. 'There's nothing to be alarmed about, this is probably a misunderstanding, or rather a misreading, by some covital systems,' responded the Seed Industries representative to whom the UNN talked.

Fortunately, your correspondent is currently based on this society, so I made my way over to inspect the site of this scary portal. It turns out that the door is to a small building, simply called "Leftovers", which I admit is a bit ominous. It seems to be full of - thrash. So this means it could in fact be some sort of site of erasure, or where matter goes to die. We will keep an eye on it, that's for sure.
